Collaborate in the Product Development and New Product Introduction process by designing and supervising all Logistics aspects of the product industrialization; strictly collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, with Business Units and in coordination with Plant LE Teams.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering he/she work within the Industrialization teams to assure the definition of material flows, tools, systems, equipment and methods related to logistics in production processes and across the full impacted Supply Chain, in order to achieve defined targets (efficiencies, quality, safety, ergonomics, etc.). He/she also support the continuous improvement of logistics processes across facility Plants.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and develop Logistics initiatives of product industrialization and Products Continuous Improvements applying a Full Supply Chain approach; thus designing solutions which covers all material handling steps from Vendor to Customer. Strongly collaborate with other departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Engineering in order to define and implement a complete solution focused on the minimization of TCO.
Support Product Industrialization in its deploy to the impacted Plants in terms of: concept layout study and deployment, material flow analysis, material planning and Supplier Network involvement, design of the logistics areas, warehousing design, co-design with the suppliers during the equipment design, build and try out, costs estimation and business case support
Work as focal point and collaborate with other Regions LE Teams and with Plant LE Teams for the development of the solution to specific technical topics and for the definition of Best Practices to be deployed across plants.
Support Manufacturing BOM definition working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and the Planning Team;
Study and design tools and gigs and finished product packaging
Define components packaging and delivery strategies collaborating also with vendors and Purchasing dept.
Prepare technical specifications and address the Purchasing department to select suppliers, supporting the definition of the supply contract
Co design with the suppliers during the logistics equipment design and build and equipment try out;
Define concept layout study, detailed layout deployment and material flow optimization across all internal, warehouse and external material handling steps.
Support the definition of the Product Cost for components related to logistics;
Support CAPEX definition
Support Local Finance and Controlling in the logistics investment analysis and in the preparation of the related Business Plan.
Must be able to act quickly to lead, develop, and implement solutions. This should apply also to cross-function initiatives.
Identify needs related to new product industrialization in terms of Supply Chain Information Tools development and report business requirements to ICT.
Knowledge of Discrete Events Simulation and Flow analysis tools is a plus
Good knowledge of Flow Simulation SW and CAD tools (Autocad & Catia)

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering (logistics, production, mechanical, electrical, electronic and manufacturing) or Supply Chain
At least 2 years' experience in Logistics Engineering / production engineering. Manufacturing logistics preferred
It would be beneficial if we could bring somebody that has some FCA experience
We are looking for WCM competences and with the upcoming workload it will be extremely hard to teach WCM and execute the changes at the same time
